This is the primary evaluation body for aspects concerning the design, structure and outcomes of the teaching activities of study courses. It takes particular account of the students' point of view and its widespread action complements the more general action carried out centrally by the Quality Presidium and the Evaluation Board. Every year the Joint Teaching Commission draws up the annual report, which includes in particular the evaluation of the following elements
- sample evaluation of the teaching records of all the LSCs and verification of their revision by the LSCs
- monitoring of the improvement actions identified by the student bodies in the self-evaluation documents or deriving from the observations made by the Evaluation Committee
- in-depth analysis of the results of the EduMeter questionnaire - including through interviews with the student component of the committees in charge of the self-evaluation of the student bodies - and verification that the reports submitted by students have been taken into account.
The annual reports are collected by the Quality Presidium, which sends them to the MUR, the University Evaluation Committee and the Academic Senate.
The Joint Teaching Commissions are also involved in the formulation of opinions on newly established Study Courses, for substantial changes to the teaching regulations and for proposals to change the location of the Study Course or request a new location. This activity takes place in consideration of the documents that, for each academic year, are prepared or updated by the Ministry of University and Research, ANVUR and the CUN in order to ensure compliance with the quality requirements for initial accreditation set out in DM 1154/21- Annex A.2. In this context, the Joint Teaching Commissions assess the educational project of the proposed degree course, i.e. the study plan, the educational objectives, the teaching and learning assessment methods, the quality of the educational offer and the adequacy of the educational and infrastructural resources.
