School's Director is Prof. Massimo MASERA (direttore.scienzedellanatura@unito.it).

Deputy Director is Prof. Luca MARTIRE.

The Director is elected by all the School's Council members from among the full professors who are members of the Council and have opted for full-time status. The Director is elected by an absolute majority of those entitled to vote in the first ballot; if this majority is not reached, a run-off is held between the two candidates who obtained the highest number of votes in the first ballot; in the event of a tie, the eldest is elected.

Meetings for the election of the Director are convened and chaired by the Dean of the Council.

The Director holds office for three academic years and is renewable once. The office of Director is incompatible with that of member of the Academic Senate and of the Board of Directors, as well as with that of Director of another School and of Department Director.

The School Director

- convenes and chairs the School Council and coordinates its activities

- coordinates the School's activities and the personnel assigned to it, within the limits and according to the procedures laid down in the University Organisational Regulations

- furthermore, he/she exercises all the functions recognised to him/her by the Statute and Regulations and any other provisions in force.

The Director may appoint a Deputy Director from among the teachers who are members of the School Council.
